I am thrilled to be the principal of Troy School!

A little about me...

I grew up in Derby, spent some years away in Indiana and New Mexico before returning to Vermont in 1998. I am deeply committed to the value and impotence of the rural Vermont community school, and am thankful that I can spend my life in this beautiful region of the country.

I have been an educational leader in Vermont for over 20 years. Prior to becoming a school principal, I have served as a college instructor, a teacher educator, and professor of early education, child development and psychology. I also have a deep passion for medieval and Viking history, music, story telling, and anthropology. These are interests that I seek to share with my students.

As a principal, I value the power of positive and supportive relationships. I make a concerted effort to get to know every student and staff member of the school community, and strive to learn as much about the community as I can.
